Game MVP
At the completion of each game, each team will select the MVP from the opposing team. Each winner will receive an award. MVP awards will only be awarded in all bracket games except the championship games.
Players are only allowed to win one MVP so please make sure coaches let the other team know who has won one in an earlier game. Thank You

Stateline Sports Group will announce a ten-player all-tournament team for each division on Sunday, November 5th. The players selected to the All-Tournament teams will be presented a recognition plaque on Sunday, November 5th following the championship game of their division.

Team costume contest
Team Costume Contest: Just as in previous seasons, we encourage every team to get into the spirit by dressing up in costumes for their first game of the tournament. For this photo opportunity, please have your team gather behind the Stadium press box, where we'll have hay bales and corn stalks set up for your team photo session. We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your first scheduled game. Team photos will be posted on our website on Monday, October 30th. Fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite team costume online, and voting will remain open through Friday, November 3rd. The winning team, announced on Saturday, November 4th, will receive $100 towards a team pizza party at a location of their choice.

Painted Pumpkin Contest
Painted Pumpkin Contest: The Painted Pumpkin contest has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 4th. Teams are invited to decorate a pumpkin and bring it with them on that Saturday for judging. The winner will be revealed at 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 4th, with the victorious team earning $100.00 towards a pizza party at a venue of their choosing.
2024 SCARECROW SLAM
Tournament Information
It seems that Mother Nature is throwing her influence into the mix, and we want to keep you informed about the latest developments. We've been in close contact with the weather bureau, monitoring the forecasts, and considering the feedback we've received from concerned teams about school activities. Here's what we've come up with:
Thursday through Friday: The weather bureau predicts rain and windy conditions, making it impractical to start the tournament during this period.
Saturday: There's a promising weather window, and we intend to get the tournament underway on this day. Most teams will have the opportunity to play, with one exception—the number one seeds in the 8U and 10U divisions. We will reach out to them individually.
Sunday: Unfortunately, Sunday is looking like another day with on-and-off rain and strong winds, which will make it difficult to proceed with the tournament.
Considering these weather factors and the need to give everyone time to plan accordingly, we've made the following schedule changes:
Saturday, October 28th: We will conduct a full tournament schedule.
Saturday, November 4th: The remaining tournament games will take place on this day.
Sunday, November 5th: The championship games will be held to conclude the Scarecrow Slam.
We understand that this revised schedule may not be convenient for everyone, but please know that we're doing our best to ensure a fun and enjoyable tournament experience for all participants. We wish we had control over the weather, but our decisions are based on the information available to us at this time.
To stay up to date with all tournament announcements and schedule changes, please ensure you have downloaded the Stateline Sports Group app. We have updated the schedule on our app to reflect these changes.
Additionally, we will be sending out more information regarding the costume and pumpkin contests later today, so be on the lookout for those details.

Crafters for Trick or Treaters
Something new! This year the Scarecrow Slam event has invited some local crafters to participate. In between games, you will be able to check out their crafts. We are also told they will all have some Halloween candy for those young trick-or-treaters.
